Moscow, January 2 – The Carolina Hurricanes defeated the New Jersey Devils in an NHL shootout game.

The meeting in New Jersey ended with a score of 5: 4 (0: 0, 2: 1, 2: 3, 0: 0, 1: 0) in favor of the guests. In the regular time of the match, Jesper Pratt (47th and 54th minutes) scored two goals for the hosts, as well as Jack Hughes (17) and Nico Hescher (49).
