On September 18, Armand Duplantis, a Swedish athlete, achieved a remarkable feat at the Diamond League finals held in Eugene, United States. He broke the previous world record in pole vaulting.

Duplantis successfully cleared the bar at an incredible height of 6 meters and 23 centimeters. This achievement surpasses his previous world record of 6.22 meters, which he had set in February during a tournament in Clermont, France.
