The Russian Izhevsk Mechanical Plant sent the first batch of Lebedev pistols to the units of the Russian Guard for trial use.

We are talking about the models “MBL” and “MBL 1”, the trial use of which will take more than one month.

Officers of the Russian Guard took a short course on the use of Lebedev pistols, where Lebedev pistol designer Dmitry Lebedev spoke about the features and design of two new pistols, the features of their use and maintenance, and also paid special attention to the algorithm for disassembling and assembling a pistol and the rules for repairing weapons.

And according to Dmitry Lebedev, based on the results of the experimental use of two guns, changes will be made to their design that will make them more convenient for investment and maintenance.

It is worth noting that it was the Kalashnikov company that initiated the production of MPL and MBL-1 pistols. Their main advantages are thoughtful ergonomics, high reliability and long service life, as well as the ability to use with all types of 9×19 mm ammunition, including 7N21-01 cartridges.

It is noteworthy that the MPL-1 pistol for special tasks differs from the MBL pistol in barrel length, height, weight, the ability to install a silencer, the ability to replace the barrel and install additional equipment for aiming. .

Both pistols have a 16-round magazine.
