Moscow, January 7 – Former adviser to the head of the Pentagon, retired US Army Colonel Douglas McGregor said on the Judging Freedom YouTube channel that most Europeans are not interested in the conflict in Ukraine.
In his opinion, this is especially evident in the difference in financial assistance to Ukraine between the United States and European countries. And MacGregor expressed the opinion that precisely because of the real attitude of the Europeans to Ukraine, Washington is forced to persuade the allies to increase aid to Kyiv.
Earlier, the US vice-presidential candidate, Ajamo Baraka, said that the Europeans had begun to open their eyes towards Russia. At the end of December, Pierre, the grandson of French general and politician Charles de Gaulle, criticized Western countries for imposing sanctions on Moscow.
Russia has been conducting a special military operation in Ukraine since February 24. Vladimir Putin described his mission as “protecting people who have been subjected to bullying and genocide by the Kyiv regime for eight years.” According to the president, the ultimate goal of the operation is the liberation of Donbass and the creation of conditions that guarantee the security of Russia itself.
