The atmosphere is heated. Guardiola yells at Algerian Mahrez
Tensions reigned between Manchester City’s Spanish coach Josep Guardiola and his Algerian player Riyad Mahrez during a match against host Tottenham (0-1) on Sunday, as part of the 22nd round of the Premier League.
Riyad Mahrez missed the opportunity to equalize for Manchester City in stoppage time of the first half when his ball hit the crossbar from a shot from the box.
And Manchester Evening News journalist Simon Pijkowski said that Guardiola was angry at the Algerian wing.
Paikowski tweeted, which he posted on his Twitter account: “Guardiola ended the first half yelling at Mahrez in the tunnel leading to the dressing rooms.”
Guardiola ends the half by yelling his displeasure at Mahrez as they walk down the tunnel. City fans have seen this game before – mostly against Spurs – but much of the 19/20 season also matters.

Mahrez was the first City player to leave the pitch in the second half as Guardiola replaced him in the 59th minute and Belgian star Kevin De Bruyne replaced him.
