The Chinese Football Association chairman suspected of violating the law

Beijing, February 15 – Chen Shiyuan, president of the Chinese Football Association, has been under investigation on suspicion of violating law and discipline, according to a report posted on the official website of the CPC Hubei Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection.
According to the report, Chen Xuyan is “suspected of serious violations of order and law.” The Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has launched an investigation with him.
Chen Xuyuan has been the president of the Chinese Football Association since 2019.

Chinese President Xi Jinping said earlier that corruption is the main malignant tumor that endangers the vitality and ability of the CPC. The President of the People’s Republic of China stressed that as long as there are causes and conditions for corruption, the fight against it cannot stop even for a minute. He noted that the party will never tolerate corruption and will punish it, following the “zero tolerance principle”.
Sun Yili, spokesman for the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, said earlier that more than 4.43 million people have been convicted of corruption offenses in China over the past 10 years.
