Moscow, December 28 – The Czech national ice hockey team defeated the Austrian national team in the group stage match of the World Youth Ice Hockey Championship, which is being held in Canada.
The first group meeting, whose matches were held in Halifax, ended with a score of 9: 0 (3: 0, 4: 0, 2: 0) in favor of the Czechs. As part of the winners, Jiri Kulich scored three hat-tricks (17, 29 and 41), Gabriel Storrs (22 and 31) scored two goals, Jacob Brabenets (4), Peter Hauser (19), also scored a goal. The Czechs achieved their second victory in the tournament, scoring six points. The same amount is in the assets of the Swedish team, which also plays in Group A.
