Washington, January 22 – Los Angeles County Police Officer Andrew Meyer said that the death toll in the shooting in the American city of Monterey Park in California has risen to 10, and at least 10 other people have been injured to varying degrees, and the suspect is still at large.
Earlier it was reported that nine people were killed as a result of the shooting that occurred in a dance studio in the city of Monterey Park, where the Chinese New Year celebration was held. It was noted before that that “thousands” of people visited the New Year’s Day.
“Ten victims have been declared dead at the crime scene. At least 10 other people have been taken to several local hospitals, and are in varying condition – from stable to critical. The suspect left the crime scene and remains unrestrained,” Meyer said, speaking on local TV channels.

Law enforcement officials say the motive for the crime has yet to be determined.
