The eruption of the highest volcano in Indonesia

On the Indonesian island of Sumatra, the Kirinchi volcano erupted, a column of volcanic ash reached a height of 900 meters.

The Center for the Study of Geological Disasters in Indonesia indicates that the eruption began on the morning of Wednesday, January 11, and continued to spew ash for more than eight minutes.
Local authorities have prepared a safe passage for the evacuation of residents of nearby villages and towns.
