The government extended the simplified rules for car production

Moscow, January 31 – The Government of the Russian Federation extended the simplified rules for the production of cars in the Russian Federation until June 1, 2023, based on the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, published on the official Internet portal of legal information.
“The words February 1 will be replaced by the words June 1,” the text of the document read.
Earlier, Russian automakers – AvtoVAZ, Sollers and Kamaz – applied to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation to extend the simplified rules until mid-2024. The first two – until July 2024, and the last – at least until the second quarter of 2024.

Simplified requirements for cars produced in the country have been in effect in the Russian Federation since the spring of 2022. The document allows automakers not to install a number of systems on new cars – in particular, ABS and ESP – and the Era-Glonass emergency response system may not be present in the event of a crash Accidents and automatic functions. It is also allowed to produce cars with engines of various environmental classes, including the lowest Euro-0.
