Moscow, February 1 – Akars Kazan goalkeeper Timur Belyalov, SKA Petersburg defender Alexander Nikishin and Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod forward Alexei Krushinin have been named the best January players in the Continental Hockey League, according to the official KHL website.
Belyalov was named Goalkeeper of the Month for the second time in his career. In January, he helped the team achieve seven wins in ten games. The goalkeeper saved 96.37% of shots with a safety factor of 0.98. In two matches he played “to zero”.
Nikishin participated in 11 SKA matches and provided 12 assists in them. He was previously named Defensive Player of the Month for September and October 2022.
Kruchinin became the striker of the month for the first time in his career. In January, he scored 5 goals and provided 8 assists in 11 matches. The striker scored a double, and in two matches his goals were victorious for the Nizhny Novgorod team.
Nikita Grebenkin Forward of Khabarovsk “Amur” Nikita Grebenkin, who scored 9 points (4 goals + 5 assists) in 12 matches, was recognized as the best rookie of the month. In the match with Novosibirsk “Siberia” he designed a double.
