Moscow, January 7 – According to Agence France-Presse, quoting a source in the club, Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to play his first match with Al-Nassr in the Saudi League on January 22.
At the end of December, Al-Nasr announced the signing of a contract with Ronaldo until June 2025, on Tuesday there was an offer for the player. It was reported that Ronaldo is not yet eligible to play for Al-Nassr, as the club has exceeded the limit for foreign players on the team application. The club needs to get rid of one of the current foreign players in the team because of the limit in the Saudi League.
According to the source, Al-Nasr terminated his contract with Cameroonian striker Vincent Abu Bakr for this purpose. Thus, Ronaldo will be able to play his first match with the club on January 22 against Al-Ettifaq. By then, the Portuguese should have served a two-match ban imposed by the English Football Association (FA) in November.

And Ronaldo was present, on Friday, in the stands during Al-Nasr’s victory in the match of the 12th round of the Saudi Arabian Championship with the Thai (2: 0). Al-Nassr’s next match will be against Al-Shabab on January 14th.
