Moscow, February 4 – Today, Saturday, the Russian Ministry of Defense said that the latest Russian multiple launch missile system “Tornado-S” launches strikes during a special operation against Ukrainian forces and military facilities with precision-guided missiles.

The agency published a video on the application of the regulations. In the footage – two Tornado-S combat vehicles moving to the site, their crews preparing them for firing. Then the missile launch is shown. According to the Ministry of Defense, “Tornado-S” attacked military equipment, weapons and ammunition concentrated to supply Ukrainian forces.

“Distance does not affect the accuracy of the hit in any way. A rocket-propelled grenade or, to use the terminology of the artillerymen, a ‘pencil’ is controlled and fired from a ‘pencil bag’, and the guidance is through satellite systems,” the department noted.

They specified that the “Tornado S” had 12 guides for 300 mm rockets. At the same time, the system is capable of hitting targets at a distance of 120 kilometers, which is much more than the American HIMARS MLRS used by Ukrainian forces.

In the course of a special military operation, Tornado-S MLRS crews disable and destroy command posts, warehouses with weapons, ammunition, fuel and lubricants, communication centers, air defense systems and other important targets.
