The Ministry of Emergency Situations called the cause of the fire at the refinery near Rostov

Rostov-on-Don, February 8 – A representative of the regional GUMCHS told reporters that the fire on the territory of an oil products plant in the Rostov region, according to preliminary data, occurred due to a violation of the technological process.

A fire broke out in the area of ​​\u200b\u200bthe oil refinery at 9 Khmelnitsky Street in Novoshakhtinsk on Wednesday morning. According to preliminary data, the area of ​​the fire was 100 square metres. Later, the location of the fire was located, and then outdoor burning was eliminated. No harm done.

“The initial cause (of the fire) was a violation of the technological process,” said the representative of the department. He added that before that, a facility on the factory grounds caught fire, without specifying what type of installation he was talking about.

42 people, 13 units of equipment are involved in extinguishing the fire.
