Moscow, February 14 – Iranian cars are not certified in Russia, so their delivery to the country is not yet possible; The Ministry of Industry and Trade has not received any relevant requests, the News Agency reported in the ministry’s press service.
Last year, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Albert Karimov reported that Iranian automakers are interested in the Russian car market.
At the same time, Russian Ambassador to Tehran Alexei Dedov noted in an interview with the News Agency in February that the Iranian automaker Iran Khodro plans to deliver 2,000 cars to Russia by the end of March, and SAIPA is negotiating prospects for exporting more. More than 20,000 cars are shipped to Russia annually.
