Washington, December 20 – Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder said the United States has enough strategic bomber capabilities to deter all enemies despite the suspension of B-2s.
“As you know, we have B-52 bombers that are capable of carrying both conventional and nuclear weapons… I’m confident we retain the bombing capabilities that we need to deter adversaries,” Rader said in a briefing.
The US Air Force has suspended flights of B-2 stealth bombers indefinitely after an accident with one of these machines occurred on December 10 at an air force base in Missouri. In addition to B-2s and B-52s, US strategic aviation includes B-1 bombers.
