Former Ismaili club president Yahya El-Kumi’s statements drew the ire of the club’s current board of directors as he issued a statement in defense of his player Mohamed Khalifa, stressing that he had no intention of giving up his services.
In its official statement, the Ismaili Council said: “The player, Mohamed Khalifa, had previous professional experience in the Spanish League, in addition to playing for big clubs that have fans, including Zamalek and Aswan.
The statement added: “The player is trained with enthusiasm and diligence in training to be able to participate with his colleagues, in addition to being a well-mannered player who is loved and respected by everyone in the ancient club. .”
The Ismaili Board of Directors stressed the rejection of any insult to any person belonging to the club, especially first team players including Mohammed Khalifa, emphasizing that he would spare no effort to protect all who belong to the club.
