Moscow, February 2 – The president of the Asian Football Confederation, Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, said that the issue of the transfer of the Russian Football Union (RFU) has not yet been formally considered.
In December, the Executive Committee of the Russian Football Union, in view of the suspension of international competitions, discussed the issue of transition from UEFA to the Asian Football Confederation. Later, the Russian Federation, together with UEFA, established a working group whose goal was to develop a roadmap for the return of Russian teams to international tournaments.
