The prosecutor’s office began to investigate after a gas explosion in a house in Khasavyurt

MAKHACHKALA, January 8 – The prosecutor’s office of Dagestan is conducting an investigation into a gas explosion in a multi-storey building in Khasavyurt, the press service of the watchdog reported.

Earlier, GUMCHS for Dagestan reported that a gas explosion occurred on the first floor of a high-rise building on Datuev Street, 35 in Khasavyurt, followed by a fire. The Khasavyurt mayor’s office reported that five people were injured, two of whom are in hospital.

“The Republic’s Prosecutor General’s Office carried out an inspection on the cotton gas mixture in a residential building in Khasavyurt. During supervisory activities, an assessment will be made of compliance with the requirements of the law in the operation of gas equipment,” the report says.

The Public Prosecutor’s Office controlled the course and results of the procedural examination of the facts of the accident.
