Simferopol, March 18 – The President of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, described in his Telegram channel the reunification of the peninsula with Russia as a symbol of the return of the Russian lands.
On Saturday, the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol celebrate the ninth anniversary of its accession to Russia following the referendum held on March 16, 2014.
In turn, the Speaker of the Crimean Parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov, emphasized that nine years ago the Crimeans became “historic makers.”
“The choice we made in the spring of 2014, we made not only for ourselves. We chose Russia for our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren,” Konstantinov wrote in his Telegram channel.

In turn, Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozaev noted that the reunification of Crimea and Sevastopol with Russia is a unique case in world history of restoring justice.
