Moscow, June 10 – Russian tennis player Alina Korneva defeated Peruvian Luciana Perez Alarcón in the final of the French Open junior tournament.

Korneva is 15 years old, and is ranked 331 in the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) ranking. Earlier in 2023, she competed in the junior Australian Open, where she defeated compatriot Mira Andreeva in the final. Perez Alarcón, 18, is the first Peruvian to reach the final of a Junior Grand Slam tournament.
