The study showed the most popular travel destinations on March 8

Moscow, February 21 – Experts have studied the demand for hotels in Russia on the International Women’s Day weekend, according to MTS Travel and Bronevik.com services.

Experts analyzed booking data for the period from March 4 to 12 and found that tourists stay in hotels for an average of three days, although this year the only day off in honor of March 8 is in the middle of the week.

At the same time, every tenth application falls on ski resorts. The most famous are Krasnaya Polyana and “Mountain Air” in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and Sheregesh.

Sochi has become the most popular holiday destination, accounting for about ten percent of requests. At this resort and in neighboring cities, travelers stay on average four days.

Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Kaliningrad, Irkutsk, and Kislovodsk were also among the most popular destinations.

The average check for booking a room on March 8 is about six thousand rubles. You can find a hotel on this date relatively inexpensively in St. Petersburg and Nizhny Novgorod. There, tourists pay an average of 3.9 and 3.2 thousand rubles per room, respectively.
