Installation of Tornado-G Rocket Launcher

In a significant move, the Russian Defense Ministry has decided to mount a 40-barrel Tornado-G rocket launcher on the Spartak armored platform. This rocket launcher possesses the capability to destroy diverse targets, including artillery, air defense systems, electronic warfare, armored vehicles, and manpower, among others.

Debut at the Army-2023 Forum

The Tornado-G rocket launcher system made its debut at the international military-technical forum “Army-2023,” held from August 14-20 in the Moscow region.

Impressive Operational Capabilities

With a maximum operating range of 40,000 meters and a minimum operating range of 4,000 meters, the Tornado-G rocket launcher can swiftly switch from marching mode to combat mode within just 30 seconds. It is capable of launching 40 missiles in a mere 20 seconds.

Automatic Fire Control and Robust Protection

The system is equipped with an automatic fire control system, enabling crew members to fire without leaving the protected cabin. With a total weight of 18,500 kg, the system is shielded from bullets and shrapnel, while the bottom and wheels can withstand an explosion of 6 kilograms of TNT.

Impressive Performance and Crew Safety

The Spartak armored car boasts an engine power of 312 horsepower, enabling it to reach a maximum speed of 100 km/h on paved roads. It has a remarkable driving range of up to 1000 km without refueling. The crew consists of 5 members and is equipped with a 7.62 mm machine gun for their protection.
