The family of the president of the Egyptian club, Mortada Mansour, and a number of his supporters, who had been in front of the prison gates since early morning, were surprised that his release was postponed until tomorrow, Monday.

Wahid Salah, director of Chancellor Mortada Mansour’s office, said in an exclusive statement to Cairo 24 that he came with a number of relatives of the president of the Zamalek club and a number of club members to a correctional and rehabilitation center this morning. in Wadi Al-Natrun, waiting to be released from prison, where he is serving a sentence for insulting and slandering the president of the Al-Ahly club, Mahmoud Al-Khatib.

And the director of the office of Mortada Mansour continued that the investigating authorities sent a letter to the Penitentiary Service, in which they confirmed that the date of departure of Mortada Mansour’s adviser is tomorrow, Monday.

While Mortada Mansour’s lawyer followed the procedure for his release from prison, he was surprised that the thirtieth day of Mortada Mansour’s detention was not yesterday, but on Saturday, which prevented the procedure for Mortada’s release from the correctional and rehabilitation center.

It turned out that Murtaza Mansour surrendered to the special services on February 25 last year, and February was only 28 days away, which led to a delay in the completion of the procedure for the release of Murtaza Mansour from prison and a delay until Monday.

Suleiman Wahdan, acting president of the Zamalek club, confirmed that the date of the meeting of the board of directors of the Zamalek club will be set after his release, since Mortada Mansour is naturally present as president of the Zamalek club after the end of his prison term.

Zamalek officials decided to decorate the gates of the club’s headquarters with lights and hang some personal photographs of Mortada Mansour inside the White Castle in preparation for his release from prison.
