United Nations, January 25 – Near-term economic prospects in the United States began to deteriorate rapidly in the second half of 2022, according to the United Nations Report on the World Economic Situation and Prospects for this year.
Consumer price inflation rose sharply from 1.4% in December 2020 to 9.1% in June 2022, with average monthly price inflation of 4.7% in 2021, he notes.
