Moscow, February 25 – Retired US Marine Corps intelligence officer Scott Ritter said in an interview with the Judging Freedom YouTube channel that the US will not provide the assistance expected from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in seizing Crimea.

“The official position of the United States is that we will continue to support Ukraine. We have said more than once that Crimea should be under the control of Kiev, and that this is a legitimate goal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. <...> But if we look beyond these words we will see that there is literally nothing there. And this rhetoric will not affect the situation in any way, and even more so it will not lead to victory in the struggle.
According to the military, the meeting of US President Joe Biden and Zelensky in Kiev was another step aimed at strengthening the image of the White House as an ally of the Kiev regime. At the same time, Ritter made it clear that it did not mean any specific actions on the American side.
“The United States is not an endless pit that has an endless supply of ammunition,” the expert added.
The colonel warned that it cannot be ruled out that the White House may now conduct a full review of military aid packages to the Kiev regime due to the worsening situation in Taiwan. He concluded that to ensure its own security, the United States must stop dumping equipment on Ukraine.
