The United States will allocate funds to protect the cultural heritage of Ukraine

Washington, February 23 – The US State Department said that the United States is allocating $7 million to Ukraine to protect its cultural heritage.
The assistance is being sent as part of a program developed by the US State Department to “support efforts to protect and restore Ukrainian cultural sites and collections” in times of armed conflict.
“The initiative is investing $7 million to support Ukraine’s efforts to protect its cultural heritage,” the press release said.

The State Department added that priority in distributing funds is given to facilities “that are directly affected” by Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine.
