Moscow, January 11 – US Republican Senator J.D. Vance will send an appeal to the White House Budget Service, questioning the amount of aid to Ukraine, Politico reports, citing the document.
According to the appeal, the $114 billion provided by Congress to Ukraine and countries “affected by the situation in Ukraine” does not include some additional transfers previously requested by President Joe Biden’s administration. In this regard, the senator invites the Department of Management and Budget to indicate in a report to Congress the amount that Washington has already sent to Kyiv.
“The report shall contain a full account of the general authority of the budget in this area… The report shall also include a list of countries which the Administration believes are ‘affected by the situation in Ukraine’ and an account of the budgetary funds which the Administration intends to provide to each of these countries,” it stated. stated in the document.
