Washington, February 3 – White House spokeswoman Karen Jean-Pierre said that US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken independently decided to postpone his visit to China due to the situation with the airship hanging over the United States, and President Joe Biden agreed with him.
The conversation was broadcast on the White House website.

According to her, there is a consensus in the administration that now the flight will not be appropriate.
Reportedly, Blinken has postponed a visit to China that was supposed to start on Friday evening, after the discovery of an unidentified balloon in the US skies.
A Pentagon spokesman said earlier that a reconnaissance balloon had been spotted over the United States. He flew from the Aleutian Islands through the territory of Canada and reached the state of Montana. The balloon’s movements are tracked by the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD). The US military believes the balloon belongs to China.
