The World Curling Championship Trophy Goes to Scotland’s Men’s Team

Moscow, April 10 – The Scottish national team became the winner of the World Curling Championship among men’s teams, which was held in Ottawa, Canada.
In the final, the Scots defeated Canada 9-3. And in the match for bronze, the Swiss beat the Italians – 11: 3.
Scotland won the World Cup for the sixth time in history. The last time the team was world champions was in 2009.

In early March 2022, the World Curling Federation (WCF) suspended the Russian national curling teams and the Russian Curling Federation from competition until the end of the year amid the situation in Ukraine. In December, the penalties were extended.
