Three-time world champion in sambo died as part of the USSR national team

Moscow, January 27 – Three-time world sambo champion Alexander Pushnitsa died on Friday in Omsk at the age of 74, the official website of the All-Russian Sambo Federation reports.
It was reported that Pushnica had been battling cancer in recent years.

Pushnitsa, who represented the Dynamo sports community, won the world championship three times (1974, 1979, 1983), won the World Cup three times (1977, 1980, 1987) and won the European Championship twice (1976, 1984). He also became the champion of the USSR nine times (1974-1980, 1983, 1984).
