Media reports revealed a crisis threatening the global coffee market due to heat and drought, and spoke of fears of a decline in the coffee crop with a reduction in arable land.

It was reported that by 2050 the amount of land suitable for growing coffee in the world will be reduced by 50%. In addition, at least 60% of wild-growing coffee species are on the verge of extinction.

Reports said that last year’s high temperatures led to a 40% increase in the price of a coffee drink (a cup of coffee) in most countries.

It cites a report published by Roscongress and the World Market Research Institute that global temperatures continue to rise, which explains the problem of rising coffee prices and affects the price of a cup of coffee.
