Tonga’s coastal area hit by 5.6 magnitude earthquake

MOSCOW, June 23 – An earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale has struck off the coast of the Kingdom of Tonga in the Pacific Ocean, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS).
The earthquake was recorded at 19.06 UTC (22.06 Moscow time) 116 km northeast of the village of Hihifo. The hearth is located at a depth of 10 kilometers.
