Torpedo Secures Gagarin Cup Series Victory Over Dynamo

Moscow, March 12 – Nizhny Novgorod “Torpedo” in overtime defeated Moscow “Dynamo” in the sixth game of the first qualifying round of the Continental Hockey Championship (KHL) and advanced to the quarterfinals of the Gagarin Cup.

The meeting in Moscow ended with a score of 2: 1 (0: 0, 1: 1, 0: 0, 1: 0) in favor of the guests, whose duet was scored by Denis Yan (30, 62 minutes). The hosts scored Eric O’Dell (31).

The score in the series up to four wins was 4-2 in favor of Torpedo. The Nizhny Novgorod club reached the second round of the KHL playoffs for the first time since 2016 and the third time in history. He will know his rival “Torpedo” in the quarter-finals of the Gagarin Cup at the end of the series between CSKA Moscow and “Severstal” Cherepovets.
