Train derails in the Netherlands, causing injuries to dozens

Moscow, April 4 – Reuters reported, citing emergency services, that dozens of people were injured when a train derailed in the Netherlands.
Earlier on Tuesday, the agency reported that a passenger and freight train collided, and then the information was clarified – the passenger train derailed after colliding with construction equipment.
A passenger train carrying at least 50 people derailed in the Netherlands on Tuesday morning after colliding with construction equipment on the track, the Dutch emergency services said, and dozens were injured, many seriously.

As noted, some of the victims were hospitalized, while others were treated on the spot.
Earlier, the agency reported that rescue teams had arrived at the accident site near the village of Voorschoten in the province of South Holland. In addition, the agency, citing a statement from Dutch Railways (NS), added on its Twitter account that trains between Leiden and parts of The Hague had been canceled due to an accident.
