Turkish Drone Company Baykar Donates $10 Million for Gaza Humanitarian Aid
Selcuk Bayraktar, the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Turkish drone company Baykar, has announced a generous donation of $10 million to provide much-needed humanitarian aid for Gaza.
Strong Criticism of Israeli Attacks
In a recent message posted on social media, Bayraktar strongly condemned the indiscriminate Israeli attacks, accusing them of committing war crimes by targeting hospitals, schools, and places of worship.
Targeting of Hospitals and Religious Sites
Bayraktar highlighted specific instances of Israeli airstrikes on Gaza, including the bombing of Ahli Baptist Hospital, resulting in the tragic loss of at least 500 lives. Additionally, a mosque inside a refugee camp and the Greek Orthodox Church were targeted on separate occasions.
Hypocrisy and Call for International Action
Expressing his disappointment, Bayraktar criticized the hypocrisy of those who claim to fight against genocide but are now involved in committing it. He urged the international community to take immediate action to restore peace and put an end to the ongoing massacres in Gaza, emphasizing that silence implies complicity.
Situation in Gaza
Gaza has been enduring heavy Israeli bombardment for 13 days, posing a significant threat to millions of innocent lives. The attack on the hospital further worsened the situation in the Palestinian city, prompting an urgent need for aid and support.
Aid Efforts and Hope for Relief
Despite the challenges, a limited number of aid trucks are expected to cross the closed Rafah crossing from Egypt into Gaza, starting on Friday. This provides some hope for relief and assistance to the affected population.
