tvOS 16.3.3, Which Includes a Fix for the Siri Remote for the Newest Apple TV, has been Released by Apple
A bug patch update for the tvOS 16 operating system, first published in September, was made available by Apple as tvOS 16.3.3. tvOS 16.3.3, available for the Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD, follows tvOS 16.3.2 for almost a month.
By selecting System > Software Update in the Settings app on the Apple TV, users can download the tvOS 16.3.3 update wirelessly. Apple TV owners who have enabled automatic software upgrades will immediately receive the tvOS 16.3.3 upgrade. This upgrade supports just the third-generation Apple TV 4K, which should be noted.
tvOS upgrades are often relatively small, with the primary emphasis on internal bug fixes and improvements rather than noteworthy changes directed externally. This update addresses a bug that, according to the release notes provided by Apple, had the potential to prevent the Siri Remote from functioning properly with the third-generation Apple TV 4K.
This update resolves a problem that could cause the Siri Remote on Apple TV 4K to stop working (3rd generation).
In its tvOS support document, which is updated following each tvOS release, Apple provides information about new tvOS updates.
