UEFA Unveils Week’s Best Performers in Champions League and Europa League

Moscow, April 14 – Manchester City defender John Stones was named the best player in the Champions League, according to the European Football Association (UEFA) website.
On Tuesday, the English national team inflicted a crushing defeat on Germany’s Bayern (3: 0) in the first match of the quarter-finals of the tournament. The Stones made four interceptions, and had an 86% pass accuracy. Also nominated for the award were Alessandro Bastoni (Inter), Vinicius Junior (Real Madrid) and Prim Diaz (Milan).
