Ukraine has unilaterally terminated the intergovernmental agreement with Syria on customs cooperation between the two countries, the TASS agency reported on Friday.
“The agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the government of the Syrian Arab Republic on cooperation in the customs sphere has been terminated,” said Taras Melnichuk, a representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada, on his Telegram channel.
The agreement between Syria and Ukraine on customs cooperation was signed in Kyiv on June 5, 2003.
This is not the first agreement that the Kyiv authorities cancel with Damascus, at the end of March last year, the Council of Ministers of Ukraine unilaterally canceled an agreement with Syria on trade, economic and technical cooperation.
