Ukrainian forces fired eight more shells at Horlivka

Donetsk, January 18 – Ukrainian forces shelled Gorlovka again, firing eight 155mm NATO-caliber shells, the DRC representative office at the Joint Center for Monitoring and Coordinating War Crimes Cases in Ukraine reported.

According to the representative office, earlier on Wednesday morning, Ukrainian forces fired 25 shells of 155 and 152 mm caliber at Horlivka. The consequences have not been reported.

Gorlovka, 50 kilometers north of Donetsk, is home to the Styroll chemical and coal mining enterprises. This is one of the largest settlements in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Before the start of the conflict in Donbass, the population of Gorlovka was more than 250 thousand people.

NATO countries use 155 mm artillery. The United States has supplied Kyiv with long-range 155 mm M777 howitzers, and Ukrainian forces are actively using them to bomb the cities of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics.
