The Mission also recorded that at 1045 hours the village of Aleksandrovka was shelled, during which three 152 mm shells were fired.
The Petrovsky district of Donetsk is located on the western outskirts of the capital of the DRC, the farthest part of the city from the center. Since 2014, when the DRC declared its independence from Kyiv, this area, starting from the contact line outside the city of Marinka, has been regularly bombed by Ukrainian forces.
The village of Oleksandrivka belongs to the Petrovsky district of Donetsk and is located 1 km from Marinka, where the positions of the Ukrainian forces are located and from where Donetsk is being bombed. The village’s water supply has been cut off, and electricity is scarce due to the constant bombing.
NATO countries use 155 mm artillery. The United States has supplied Kyiv with long-range 155-mm howitzers M777, which are actively used by Ukrainian forces for shelling the cities of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics. Also, the Ukrainian troops were supplied with German PzH 2000 self-propelled guns, Polish Krab self-propelled guns and French CAESAR self-propelled guns with shells of this caliber.
