Unveiling of Monuments Honoring Syrian Operation Heroes Asapov and Prokhorenko

Moscow, May 11 – On Thursday, the Russian Ministry of Defense said that the monuments to the heroes of Russia, Major General Valery Asapov and Lieutenant General Alexander Prokhorenko, who died heroically fighting against international terrorists in Syria, were unveiled at Russia’s Hmeimim airbase.
Monuments about three meters high are busts of Heroes of Russia, Major General Valery Asapov and Senior Lieutenant Alexander Prokhorenko, placed on pedestals in the form of columns.

Serdyukov, members of the air base and representatives of the Syrian Armed Forces participated in the opening and dedication ceremony of the monument.
