Japan’s Urawa Red Diamonds stripped Saudi Al Hilal of the AFC Champions League title by beating them 1-0 on Saturday in Saitama in the second leg of the final after they drew 1-1 in the first leg in Riyadh.

Peruvian Andre Carrillo scored the only goal of the match by mistake in his own net in the 48th minute, thanks to which Urava won her third title in the continental championship after 2007 and 2017, and Al Hilal’s record balance froze at four titles in 1991, 2000, 2019 and 2021.

Urawa repeated the scenario of 2017 when they drew 1-1 in Riyadh with Al-Hilal and then won 1-0 in Japan to claim their second continental title at the time.
