US-China Relations Outlined by The White House

Washington, April 10 – John Kirby, strategic communications coordinator for the White House National Security Council, said on Monday that the United States believes that tensions with China are now high and is committed to high-level contacts with it at the appropriate time.

In particular, he made it clear that the United States is currently reconsidering the possibility of Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s visit to China. “We are also in contact with China about possible trips by US Treasury and Commerce secretaries to discuss economic issues,” the White House official added.
