US-Iran Trade Exchange Costs Only $17.8 Million in 4-Month Period
The US Census Bureau reported that trade between Iran and the US in the first four months of this year was $17.8 million.
In its latest report, the US Census Bureau announced that trade exchange between Iran and the United States for the first four months of this year was $17.8 million, down 2% from the same period last year.
Between January and April 2022, goods worth up to $18.2 million were exchanged between the two countries.
According to the report, the value of US exports to Iran increased by 29% from January to April 2023. In the first four months of 2022, goods worth $13.5 million were exported from America to Iran, and this amount rose to $17.5 million in the same period this year.
But America’s imports from Iran in the first four months of 2023 decreased by 93%, amounting to $0.3 million.
The United States imported $4.7 million worth of goods from Iran between January and April last year.
Iran ranks 172nd among export destinations to the United States in the four months of 2023 and 212th among sources of goods from other countries.
