Moscow, January 12 – On the eve of the Day of Russian Press, State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin awarded media representatives – winners of the annual creative competition for the best coverage of the activities of the State Duma: the News Agency photographer Vladimir Fedorenko and special correspondent for the News Agency Vyacheslav Smirnov was among the winners.
At the awards ceremony, Volodin noted that the parliamentary grouping of journalists is still the largest of all state authorities.
“1,050 journalists have been accredited for 2023,” Volodin said.
Among the awardees is the News Agency photographer Vladimir Fedorenko.
During the ceremony, Volodin asked a question about the possibility of opening the balconies of the plenary hall for filming.

The State Duma speaker noted that the proposal for admission will be discussed on Monday.
