According to sources, Sony is creating wireless earbuds and a new wireless headset for the PS5. Both products are expected to launch at the end of FY23.
The Project Nomad earbuds will have a battery life of roughly 5 hours, less than Sony’s WF-1000XM3’s 6-hour battery life but nearly identical to Apple’s AirPods. Of course, the Nomad will come with a charging case that can be charged via a USB-C cable to the PlayStation 5, exactly like nearly other wireless earbuds on the market. Additionally, the wireless earbud upgrades for the PS5 will utilize the same connection technique.
Sources have also claimed that the corporation is working on a new wireless headset for the PlayStation 5, known as Voyager, which is also expected to be released around the same time as Nomad. The Nomad headset and the Inzone H7 headset have similar features. However, its pricing has yet to be established.
Sources have not confirmed it, but their suggested release date makes the dates for both goods very intriguing. According to a report from last year, Sony is creating a new PlayStation 5 with a removable disc drive, which is anticipated to hit stores in September 2023. Suppose the two projected release dates are met. In that case, it may indicate that Sony is preparing to launch the console in a significant way again.
It’s not surprising that Sony has created official wireless earphones for the PlayStation 5, given the success of gaming businesses like Razer and Logitech in recent years.
