Zamalek and Ronaldo’s Comrades Square Off as Arab Championship Draw Concludes

On Monday evening, the draw for the King Salman Cup among champion clubs (Arab Championship) organized by the Arab Football Association took place in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.

According to the results of the preliminary round draw, the following matches were held:

– Royal Moroccan Army x Libyan Union

– Saudi Youth x Iraqi Air Force

Tunisian Sfaxien × Qatar

Egyptian Army Vanguard x Ahli Tripoli, Libya

– Tunisian Union of Monastir × Yemeni Fahman

– JS Al-Saoura Al-Jazaery x Kuwait Al-Kuwaiti

– Emirates Division x Lebanese Tower

– Omani Renaissance x Hebron Palestinian Youth

Omani Sib x Bahrain Muharraq

– Jordanian Youth Jordan x Moorish Nouadhibou

– Syrian October x Sudanese Mars

Bahraini Manama x Sudanese Crescent

The group stage draw is as follows:

First group: Esperance de Tunis – Al-Ittihad from Saudi Arabia – third qualifier from the first round – Iraqi police.

Group B: Qatari “Al-Sadd” – Moroccan “Vidad” – the fourth qualifying round from the first round – “Al-Hilal” from Saudi Arabia.

Group C: Zamalek of Egypt – 5th qualifier from the first round – Al-Nasr Saudi Arabia (which includes Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo) – 2nd qualifier from the first round.

Group D: Algerian Belouizdad Youth – Moroccan Raja – sixth qualifying from the first round – first qualifying from the first round.

The Moroccan club Raja was the last to win the Arab title in August 2021 at the expense of the Saudi club Ittihad Jeddah.
