Mahmoud Alaa Excluded from Zamalek Training
Veteran defender Mahmoud Alaa has been expelled from Zamalek training following a crisis during the team’s practice session on Friday. The player insulted the coaching staff and refused to follow instructions.
Sources reveal that Mahmoud Alaa has been fined EGP 250,000 and suspended from group training. The decision was made due to his failure to comply with the instructions of technical director Juan Carlos Osorio and his involvement in a heated altercation with coach Medhat Abdel Hadi.
Club director of football, Abdul Wahed Al Sayed, notified Alaa of the suspension and fine. The Zamalek club has yet to release an official statement regarding the incident and punishment.
Alaa, 32, rejoined Zamalek earlier this season after completing his loan spell at Al Ittihad.
