Moscow, July 14 – Russian football club Zenit has rejected Brazilian Flamengo’s offer to transfer midfielder Claudinho, according to O’Dea.
Globo had earlier announced the offer of “Flamengo” to “Zenith” in the amount of 15 million euros. It is noteworthy that Claudinho himself wants to return to his homeland and play for a team from Rio de Janeiro. He has agreed to a contract with the club until 2027.
According to the source, the St. Petersburg team has already rejected this proposal, as they hope the player will be next season. The Brazilian side expects the negotiations to continue until the end of the transfer window. Club representatives intend to travel to Russia and discuss the player’s transfer personally.

It is noteworthy that Flamengo has lost interest in Wendel, who has not yet joined the St. Petersburg team, as he could interfere with Claudinho’s negotiations.
Claudinho, 26, has been working with Zenit since the summer of 2021 and his contract with the club expires in June 2027. For the Blue White Blues, the Brazilian played 61 matches, scoring 15 goals and giving 17 assists.
